Glyzifer Nm Tablet 10

Glyzifer NM Tablet is used for the following:

• Prevention of iron and zinc deficiencies in high-risk groups, such as pregnant women, growing children, vegetarians/vegans, and older people

• Management of diagnosed iron-deficiency anaemia

• Supplementation in restrictive diets

• Support for individuals with malabsorption conditions

• Use post-bariatric surgery to supplement diet

• Boosting immune function, growth, and tissue repair.

Glyzifer NM Tablet should be taken in the following manner:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It is best taken on an empty stomach for optimal absorption. If this causes discomfort, you may take it with food.

• Do not consume alongside caffeinated drinks, antacids, calcium/magnesium supplements or dairy products as these could interfere with absorption.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration.

Glyzifer NM Tablet is taken orally.

Glyzifer NM Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Elemental Iron (35 mg): This component gets absorbed in specific parts of your small intestine after being released from the tablet. The iron then binds to a protein called transferrin and gets transported to the bone marrow where it aids in red blood cell production. It's also stored in other tissues in forms known as ferritin and hemosiderin.

• Elemental Zinc (12 mg): This ingredient is absorbed throughout your small intestine and then distributed widely within your body. High concentrations can be found in areas like bones, teeth, hair, skin, liver, muscle, and testes. Zinc acts as a helper molecule for numerous enzymes involved in processes like nucleic acid synthesis (building DNA), protein synthesis (building proteins), and tissue growth and repair.

• Store Glyzifer NM Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in a container that is tightly closed to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always position the container in a place where children cannot reach.

• Aim to use the tablet prior to its expiry date, as noted on the packaging.

• As iron absorption can be hampered by certain substances, try to limit your intake of caffeinated drinks, antacids, calcium/magnesium rich foods and dairy products when taking Glyzifer NM Tablet.

• If you're managing an iron-deficiency anaemia with this medicine, consider incorporating more iron-rich foods like spinach, lentils, and red meat into your diet.
