Hydent-K Gel is used for the following:

• Management of dentinal hypersensitivity: This condition occurs when the tooth's dentin is exposed due to gum recession, erosion, or abrasion.

• Prevention of dental caries: This medicine helps in strengthening tooth enamel and reduces the risk of cavities.

• Relieving toothaches associated with sensitivity: It aids in reducing discomfort or pain triggered by hot, cold, sweet, or acidic foods and drinks.

• Control of plaque formation: Regular use can help prevent the build-up of plaque, a sticky film of bacteria on teeth.

• Prevention of gingivitis: This medicine assists in preventing inflammation of gums caused by plaque build-up.

To ensure effective results from Hydent-K Gel, follow these steps:

• Apply a pea-sized amount of the gel onto a soft-bristled toothbrush.

• Brush your teeth and gums gently in a circular motion for at least 1 minute.

• Let the gel stay on your teeth and gums for another minute or two.

• Spit out excess gel and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water.

Hydent-K Gel is applied topically.

Hydent-K Gel contains multiple active ingredients that work together to promote oral health:

• Potassium Nitrate (5%): This desensitising agent blocks the transmission of pain signals from the surface of your teeth to nerve endings. It forms a protective layer over exposed dentin tubules, preventing external stimuli from triggering pain sensations.

• Sodium Monofluorophosphate (0.7%): This ingredient provides fluoride ions that strengthen tooth enamel and guard against dental caries. The fluoride ions integrate into enamel's hydroxyapatite crystals, making them more resilient to acid attacks from cavity-causing bacteria.

• Triclosan (0.3%): This broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent controls plaque formation by inhibiting the growth and metabolism of various oral bacteria. By reducing bacterial load in the oral cavity, triclosan helps prevent gingivitis and improves overall oral health.

• Store Hydent-K Gel at temperature below 25°C., ideally away from heat and direct sunlight.

• Do not let it freeze or refrigerate.

• To prevent moisture exposure, always keep the cap tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Reduce your intake of acidic foods and drinks such as citrus fruits and carbonated beverages, as they can exacerbate tooth sensitivity managed by Hydent-K Gel.

• Maintain good oral hygiene practices including brushing twice a day and regular dental check-ups to further manage dentinal hypersensitivity and prevent plaque build-up.
