Metformin (500 Mg) + Sitagliptin (100 Mg)

Istamet XR 500 Tablet is primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is a combination medication from the antidiabetic medications class, specifically biguanides and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors.

It can also help improve glycaemic control in patients whose blood sugar levels can't be managed by metformin or sitagliptin alone. It's beneficial for patients already being treated with both these medications separately. This tablet isn't recommended for managing type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus
Regulating blood sugar levels in adults
Complementary treatment in diet and exercise regimen for type 2 diabetes patients
Patients whose blood sugar is not adequately controlled by metformin or sitagliptin alone
Substitute for patients already separately taking both metformin and sitagliptin
