Kenadion-1 Injection is used for the following:

• Prevention and management of vitamin K deficiency bleeding disorders

• Handling bleeding related to intake of coumarin or indanedione anticoagulants

• Tackling newborn haemorrhagic disease

• Management of bleeding in malabsorption syndromes such as sprue, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease

• Use in conditions like cystic fibrosis and regional enteritis leading to bleeding

• Control of salicylate or medicine-induced hypoprothrombinaemia

• The injection should be administered either subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously by a doctor.

• If given intravenously, it should be administered very slowly at a rate not exceeding 1 mg per minute.

• Rapid Absorption: After being administered subcutaneously, phytomenadione gets readily absorbed and initially concentrated in the liver; its levels then decline rapidly.

• Time of Action: The action of this ingredient is usually detectable within 1-2 hours, with bleeding controlled in 3-6 hours and normal prothrombin levels often restored in 12-14 hours.

• Store Kenadion-1 Injection in a cool and dry place, shielded from light.

• The suitable storage temperature for this medicine is below 25°C.
