Lansopac 30 Tablet 10

Lansopac 30 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid irritates the oesophagus.

• Healing and preventing stomach and intestinal ulcers, including those induced by certain medicines.

• Eradicating Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection in combination with antibiotics to prevent ulcers.

• Controlling excessive acid production in conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

• Place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to disintegrate with or without water.

• Alternatively, you can also place the tablet in a teaspoonful of water and consume it once it is completely dissolved in the water.

• Do not take more than the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Stopping the medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor is not advised.

Lansopac 30 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Lansopac 30 Tablet 10 contains lansoprazole (30 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Proton pump inhibition: Lansoprazole works by blocking an enzyme system called the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase, also known as the proton pump, found in certain cells in your stomach. This enzyme plays a key role in producing stomach acid.

• Acid reduction: By inhibiting the activity of this proton pump, lansoprazole effectively reduces the amount of acid released into your stomach. This reduction provides relief from acid reflux and assists in healing damage to the oesophagus and stomach caused by excess acidity.

• Store Lansopac 30 Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in an airtight container when not in use.

• Remove the tablet from the package when it is time to take it.

• Ensure the medicine is kept out of the reach of children.

• Try eating smaller, more frequent meals rather than large ones. This can help manage gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

• Limiting fizzy drinks and spicy foods in your diet can also assist in managing GERD symptoms. These food items might trigger acid reflux.
