LCZ Tablet 5mg is prescribed to treat influenza-like symptoms.

Allergic rhinitis symptoms include nasal congestion, itchy nose, frequent sneezing, and red, watery, irritating eyes due to the presence of histamine.
Chronic Urticaria: It is characterised by a severe rash with crimson raised patches. Histamine helps tackle this problem.

Take LCZ Tablet as your doctor directs. It can be consumed with or without food.
Swallow the Tablet with a glass of water if it is a tablet or capsule. Do not chew or mash the medication.

The route of administration is Oral.

Dry mouth- You may experience dry mouth after taking the LCZ Tablet.

Diarrhoea– The issue of diarrhoea is quite common with patients who are prescribed the medicine.
Headache– Mild headache may occur. It passes away with proper rest.
Constipation – Chances are where constipation may happen.
Sleepiness/drowsiness– headache may cause sleepiness and drowsiness.

Managing the Side Effects:

Dry mouth– Hydrate with water and fruit juices. Eat water and fiber-rich meals. Extreme dry mouth can be treated with artificial saliva. If your situation worsens, call your doctor.

Diarrhea— Water and fruit juice are good choices for this purpose. The use of ORS is also useful. Do not take any medication without first talking to your doctor.
Headache– Take proper rest. Drink plenty of fluids, such as water or electrolytes, to stay hydrated. Applying a pain-relieving ointment to your brow can help.
Constipation– Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are great sources of fiber. Maintain a healthy hydration intake. Do regular physical activity. If this side effect continues to concern you, see your doctor.
Sleepiness/drowsiness- Rest and relax. Sleep plenty. Avoid driving or using tools or equipment when tired. Heavy intake of alcohol can make you sleepy.

LCZ Tablet inhibits histamine, a chemical messenger involved in allergic reactions, to treat allergies.
The tablet is prescribed to adults and children (two years and older) with hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), perpetual dust or pet allergies, and urticaria (skin swelling, redness, and itching).
It relieves allergy symptoms like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes.

Pregnancy

The safety of using LCZ Tablets during pregnancy is generally accepted. Limited human studies are available regarding the effects of the substance on the developing foetus.

Breastfeeding

LCZ Tablet is most likely safe to use while nursing. According to the available data, the medication poses no harm to the baby.

Alcohol

LCZ Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Liver

Older Patients

Elderly patients (65+) should use LCZ Tablet cautiously. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Drug-Drug Interactions

Before taking LCZ Tablet, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines such as:

Theophylline (a medicine used to treat asthma or COPD)
Aprepitant
Fosaprepitant
Zafirlukast
Alprazolam
Diphenhydramine
Duloxetine
Pregabalin
Midodrine
Ritonavir

Drug-Food Interactions

Alcohol
St John's wort (an antidepressant herb) should not be used with LCZ Tablet.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Inform your doctor before taking the LCZ tablet:

Suffer from epilepsy(fits) or are at risk of developing convulsions
Are unable to pass urine (due to spinal cord injury or due to enlarged prostate)
Are scheduled for any allergic testing

Daily Dose

The recommended dose of LCZ Tablet is once a day or as directed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Over Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of LCZ Tablet by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital.

Missed Dose

If you forgot to take the LCZ Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dosage is close, skipping the missed one is recommended now and resume your regular dosage pattern. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Store this medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC).
Protect it from light and moisture.
Keep LCZ Tablets away from children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

Staying hydrated is critical for individuals suffering from a cough or cold. Coughing, runny nose, and sneezing can be relieved by drinking beverages at room temperature.
To keep fit and safe, strive to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night.
Keep your hygiene in check and your surroundings tidy.

It is far less likely to make you sleepy than similar medications.
Drinking alcohol while taking this medication may cause alter the effectiveness of the medicine.
Stop taking LCZ Tablets at least three days before an allergy test, as it may interfere with the results.
