Lipitas F 20 Tablet is used for the following:

• Reducing high levels of LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol in your blood

• Managing elevated triglyceride levels

• Increasing the amount of good cholesterol, known as HDL cholesterol

• As a support to dietary changes in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia

• Managing severe hypertriglyceridemia in adults

• The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

Lipitas F 20 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This component is a fibric acid derivative that activates the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). Activation of PPARα increases the breakdown of particles rich in triglycerides and reduces the production of apolipoprotein C-III, a substance that inhibits the activity of lipoprotein lipase. Furthermore, fenofibrate increases the synthesis of HDL cholesterol and enhances reverse cholesterol transport, helping your body eliminate excess cholesterol more efficiently.

• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): This component belongs to a group of medicines called statins, which are HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in your liver that is responsible for cholesterol production. This leads to an increase in the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, resulting in more LDL cholesterol being removed from the bloodstream.
