Lox 2% Jelly Gel 30gm

Lox-2% Jelly is used to provide local pain relief and numbness during dental procedures, minor surgeries, haemorrhoids, and anal fissures. It also soothes pain from skin irritation, sunburn, insect bites, nerve pain, and muscle or joint discomfort.

• Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
• Clean and dry the affected area, such as the anus, vagina, or skin around a wound.
• Squeeze a small amount of Lox 2% Jelly onto your finger.
• Apply the Jelly to the affected area.
• Gently massage the Jelly into the tissue until it is absorbed.
• For vaginal and anal applications, use a nozzle and discard the nozzle after a single use.
• Rewash your hands after applying the Jelly.
• Do not eat or drink anything for at least 1 hour if Lox 2% Jelly is applied to the mouth to allow it to absorb fully.

Lox 2% Jelly is applied externally to the affected area. It is meant for external use only and should not be taken orally.

The mechanism by which Lox 2% Jelly is absorbed in the tissue involves the following steps:

• When Lox 2% Jelly is applied to the skin or mucous membranes, it diffuses through the tissues and into the nerve fibres.
• Once inside the nerve fibres, it binds to the sodium channels and blocks them, preventing the entry of sodium ions into the cells. 
• It results in the inhibition of electrical signal that transmits pain signals to the brain. 
• As a result, the affected area becomes temporarily numb or desensitised, relieving pain or discomfort.
• The duration and degree of numbness depend on the application duration and the thickness of the tissue being treated.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Do not freeze.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink plenty of water and fluids to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing.
• Avoid using skin products with harsh chemicals, which can worsen skin irritation or dryness.
• Avoid smoking, as smoking can decrease blood flow to the skin and delay healing.
• Eat antioxidant-rich foods such as berries, beans, beetroot, and spinach that promote healing.
