• Pain relief during dental procedures: When applied topically to the gums or other oral tissues, Lignocaine Hydrochloride in Lox 2% Jelly can numb the area and relieve pain or discomfort associated with dental procedures or conditions.
• Pain relief during minor surgeries: Lox 2% Jelly is also applied before the minor procedure to numb the area and relieve pain.
• Relieves pain associated with haemorrhoids: Lox 2% Jelly also provide relief from the symptoms of haemorrhoids, such as itching, burning, and pain.
• Relieves pain associated with anal fissures: Lox 2% Jelly also relieves anal fissures due to constipation, diarrhoea, childbirth, injury, or certain medical conditions.
• Relief from vaginal or rectal irritation: Lox 2% Jelly can be applied to the vagina and rectum for vaginal or rectal irritation.
• Pain relief in skin conditions: Lox 2% Jelly also relieves pain from sunburn, insect bites, or minor burns.
• Treatment of nerve pain: Lox 2% Jelly can be used to provide temporary relief of nerve pain caused by shingles, a viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus.
• Pain relief in musculoskeletal conditions: Lox 2% Jelly also temporarily relieves pain due to muscle strains, sprains, or arthritis.

• Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
• Clean and dry the affected area, such as the anus, vagina, or skin around a wound.
• Squeeze a small amount of Lox 2% Jelly onto your finger.
• Apply the Jelly to the affected area.
• Gently massage the Jelly into the tissue until it is absorbed.
• For vaginal and anal applications, use a nozzle and discard the nozzle after a single use.
• Rewash your hands after applying the Jelly.
• Do not eat or drink anything for at least 1 hour if Lox 2% Jelly is applied to the mouth to allow it to absorb fully.

Lox 2% Jelly is applied externally to the affected area. It is meant for external use only and should not be taken orally.

The mechanism by which Lox 2% Jelly is absorbed in the tissue involves the following steps:

• When Lox 2% Jelly is applied to the skin or mucous membranes, it diffuses through the tissues and into the nerve fibres.
• Once inside the nerve fibres, it binds to the sodium channels and blocks them, preventing the entry of sodium ions into the cells. 
• It results in the inhibition of electrical signal that transmits pain signals to the brain. 
• As a result, the affected area becomes temporarily numb or desensitised, relieving pain or discomfort.
• The duration and degree of numbness depend on the application duration and the thickness of the tissue being treated.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Do not freeze.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink plenty of water and fluids to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing.
• Avoid using skin products with harsh chemicals, which can worsen skin irritation or dryness.
• Avoid smoking, as smoking can decrease blood flow to the skin and delay healing.
• Eat antioxidant-rich foods such as berries, beans, beetroot, and spinach that promote healing.
