Maxvoid-4 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing benign prostatic hyperplasia: This is a condition characterised by an enlargement of the prostate gland in men, often causing discomfort and urinary problems.

• Easing difficulty in initiating urination

• Strengthening weak urine stream

• Reducing frequent urination at night (nocturia)

• Alleviating feelings of incomplete bladder emptying

• Managing urgency to urinate

Before using Maxvoid-4 Tablet, be sure to follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• It's important not to take more than your doctor has recommended.

• Always consult your doctor for any specific advice related to the usage of this medicine.

Maxvoid-4 Tablet is taken orally.

Maxvoid-4 Tablet contains Silodosin (4 mg), which works on your body in the following manner:

• Alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist: Silodosin selectively binds to alpha-1A adrenergic receptors located in the prostate, bladder base, and urethra. This binding blocks these receptors.

• Smooth muscle relaxation: By blocking these receptors, silodosin relaxes the smooth muscles in these tissues. In medical terms, this process is called "smooth muscle relaxation".

• Improved urine flow: The relaxation of the smooth muscles leads to an improvement in urine flow, which effectively reduces BPH symptoms.

• Selective action: Silodosin has a higher affinity for alpha-1A receptors compared to other alpha-1 receptor subtypes. This characteristic contributes to its targeted action and lower incidence of blood pressure-related side effects.

• Store your Maxvoid-4 Tablet in a cool, dry place at room temperature, below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always remember, that this medicine should be kept out of reach of children for their safety.

• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Increase your intake of fluids to help improve urinary flow, which can be beneficial when managing benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

• Try to limit caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee or fizzy drinks as they can irritate the bladder and make urinary symptoms worse.
