Mega Cv Forte Suspension 30ml

Mega-CV Forte Suspension is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Acute otitis media (infection or inflammation of the middle ear)

• Pharyngitis and tonsillitis (infections of the throat and tonsils respectively)

• Sinusitis (inflammation or swelling of the tissue lining the sinuses)

• Community-acquired pneumonia

• Acute worsening of chronic bronchitis

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Dental infections

Administer Mega-CV Forte Suspension to your child as follows:

1. Shake the bottle well before using this medicine.

2. Measure out the exact quantity recommended by your doctor using a spoon or cup provided.

3. Always follow your doctor's recommended dosage and duration for Mega-CV Forte Suspension.

Mega-CV Forte Suspension is given orally to your child.

Mega-CV Forte Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (400 mg): This semi-synthetic penicillin works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls. It does so by binding to and inactivating certain proteins within the bacteria called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). This action leads to cell lysis or 'breaking down' of the bacteria, causing their death.

• Clavulanic Acid (57 mg): This substance acts as a β-lactamase inhibitor. It works by preventing degradation of amoxicillin by β-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria. By doing so, it enhances the effectiveness of amoxicillin against these resistant strains.

• The combination of these two components extends the antibiotic spectrum of amoxicillin, making it more effective against a variety of bacterial infections.

• Store Mega-CV Forte Suspension in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it protected from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Make sure the bottle is tightly sealed after each use.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to check the expiry date before giving it to your child.

• Ensure your child drinks plenty of fluids. This can help prevent dehydration, which might occur due to diarrhoea, a common side effect of Mega-CV Forte Suspension.
