Melapik-HQ Cream is used for the following:

• Gradual lightening of melasma, which are dark, discoloured patches on the face.

• Reducing freckles, and small brown spots on your skin often caused by sun exposure.

• Managing solar lentigines, darkened spots that appear on sun-exposed areas of your skin.

• Lightening post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a condition where your skin darkens following an injury or skin disorder.

Here's how you can use Melapik-HQ Cream:

• Always perform a patch test before starting regular use. If severe irritation occurs, discontinue use.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to clean, and dry, affected areas of your skin as directed by your doctor.

• Massage it well until fully absorbed and then wash your hands thoroughly.

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth and other mucous membranes.

Melapik-HQ Cream contains hydroquinone (4%), which acts on your body as follows:

• Interferes with Melanin Production: Hydroquinone works by blocking specific enzymes in your body that are crucial for melanin synthesis.

• Decreases Melanin Concentration: By interfering with these enzymes, hydroquinone helps reduce the formation and increase the degradation of melanosomes (structures containing melanin) in melanocytes (cells producing pigment). This action leads to a gradual lightening of darkened skin patches over time with consistent application.

• Keep Melapik-HQ Cream in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 25°C.

• Protect the cream from direct light and moisture.

• Limit your exposure to the sun as much as possible. This helps manage conditions like melasma, freckles, and solar lentigines for which Melapik-HQ Cream is prescribed. If you must be outdoors, wear protective clothing and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
