Metadec 50 Injection 1ml

Metadec 50 Injection is used for the following:

• Boosting bone mass in women after menopause

• Encouraging appetite and lean body mass gain in wasting conditions like cancer and HIV/AIDS

• Stimulating red blood cell production in anaemia linked to bone marrow failure, kidney failure, or cancer

• Reducing the severity and frequency of attacks in hereditary angioedema as an addition to C1-inhibitor therapy

• Offering palliative support in the management of inoperable or metastatic breast cancer

Administer Metadec 50 Injection as follows:

• Ensure a healthcare professional administers this injection.

• It is administered deep into the gluteal muscle.

• Change the injection site with each dose.

• Do not inject into veins or under the skin.

• When you need advice on a specific dosage or duration, consult your doctor.

Metadec 50 Injection is administered via an intramuscular route (IM).

Metadec 50 Injection contains two active components:

• Nandrolone Decanoate(50 mg): Metadec 50 Injection contains Nandrolone Decanoate as its active ingredient. It is used to manage osteoporosis in postmenopausal women by strengthening the bones and preventing bone loss.

• Arachis Oil and Ethyl Oleate (1 ml): Arachis oil and ethyl oleate are ingredients in Metadec 50 Injection. Arachis oil is used as a base for the injection, while ethyl oleate is a solvent that helps to solubilize the active ingredient, nandrolone.

• Keep Metadec 50 Injection below 25°C, in a dark and dry place.

• Avoid storing in the fridge or freezer.

• Maintain the product sealed in its original packaging until you need to use it.

• Ensure it stays out of children's reach at all times.

• For osteoporosis management with Metadec 50 Injection, ensure your diet is rich in calcium and vitamin D. Foods like dairy products, fish, and green leafy vegetables are good sources.

• If you're using Metadec 50 Injection for anaemia, include iron-rich foods like lentils, beans, meat, and spinach in your meals. This can help boost red blood cell production.
