Micogent Cream 20gm

Micogent Cream is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Primary skin infections like Impetigo contagiosa

• Superficial folliculitis, a skin condition marked by inflamed hair follicles

• Furunculosis, an issue involving painful boils on the skin

• Sycosis barbae, a condition causing deep, inflammatory folliculitis in men's beards

• Secondary skin infections such as infectious eczematoid dermatitis

To use Micogent Cream correctly:

• Clean and dry the affected area before applying the cream.

• Gently massage a thin layer of the cream into and around the affected area.

• Use this medicine two or three times daily or as advised by your doctor.

• After application, always remember to wash your hands.

• If needed, you can use a dressing over the treated area but it's not essential.

Micogent Cream is applied topically.

Micogent Cream consists of two active ingredients:

• Miconazole nitrate (2 %): As a synthetic imidazole antifungal agent, miconazole works by altering the permeability of fungal cell membranes. It does this by inhibiting a substance called ergosterol from being produced. This results in leakage of cellular contents, leading to the death of the fungal cells.

• Gentamicin (0.1 %): This is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that binds irreversibly with certain parts of bacterial cells known as the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. This action disrupts protein synthesis in the bacteria, inhibiting their growth and effectively killing them.

These two ingredients work together in Micogent Cream to provide comprehensive coverage against common skin pathogens. The cream base ensures optimal penetration and retention of the active ingredients in the skin layers.

• Store Micogent Cream at room temperature.

• Keep the cream away from direct heat and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Do not freeze the cream as it can alter its consistency and effectiveness.

• Always keep Micogent Cream out of reach of children to prevent unintended usage.
