Microbenz Gel 15 gm is an antibacterial medicine that is typically used to treat bacterial skin infections such as acne (pimples). Microbenz 3.5 percent Aqueous Gel 15 gm is an irritant, keratolytic (removes warts and calluses), comedolytic (inhibits the creation of blemishes), and anti-inflammatory chemical compound. Acne is a skin ailment that occurs when oil and dead skin cells clog the hair follicles. The Benzoyl Peroxide in Microbenz Gel 15 gm kills bacteria, lowers irritation, and unclogs blocked pores. When Microbenz Gel 15 gm is applied to the skin, it decomposes and releases oxygen. This oxygen serves as a bactericidal agent, killing the acne-causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. Microbenz Gel 15 gm helps peel the skin and treat comedones by increasing the turnover rate of epithelial cells (cells that line the skin's surface) (skin-coloured, small bumps due to acne). MicrobenzGel 15 gm also has a slight drying effect, which helps to remove excess oils and impurities from the skin.
