Montas Fx Tablet 10

Montas-FX Tablet is used in the following conditions:

• Management of seasonal allergic rhinitis

• Control of perennial allergic rhinitis

• Relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion

• Alleviation of itchy nose and itchy/watery eyes

Here are the guidelines to follow while taking Montas-FX Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Do not chew, crush, or divide the tablet.

• Take the medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions on how and when to take this medicine.

Montas-FX Tablet is taken orally.

The two active ingredients in Montas-FX Tablet work together to provide relief from allergic rhinitis:

• Fexofenadine (120 mg): This ingredient belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamines. Acting as a selective peripheral H1 receptor antagonist, fexofenadine inhibits the release of histamine a chemical that causes allergic reactions from mast cells and basophils. This action helps reduce the symptoms of an allergy. Furthermore, fexofenadine doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier, meaning it has minimal sedative effects.

• Montelukast (10 mg): This component is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It selectively and effectively blocks the actions of leukotrienes by inhibiting the cysteinyl leukotriene CysLT1 receptor. Leukotrienes are chemicals that cause inflammation and constriction in the airways during an allergic reaction. By blocking these actions, montelukast helps in reducing inflammation in the airways.
