Montecip LC Junior Syrup is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchiness in the nose, throat, or eyes

• Relief from chronic idiopathic urticaria, a condition involving itchy hives or wheals on the skin persisting for over six weeks

• Preventing daytime and nighttime symptoms of bronchial asthma like cough, wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath

Ensure you give Montecip LC Junior Syrup to your child as follows:

• Use a calibrated oral syringe or measuring cup to measure the correct dose of syrup.

• Make sure your child swallows the syrup completely.

• This syrup is sugar-based, so if your child has diabetes, please consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

• Shake well before each use.

Montecip LC Junior Syrup is given orally.

Montecip LC Junior Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Montelukast (4 mg): Montelukast acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by inhibiting CysLT1 receptors in your child's body, thereby blocking the action of cysteinyl leukotrienes substances that contribute to allergic airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction. This action helps reduce airway swelling, mucus secretion, and muscle constriction in the airways.

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This ingredient falls under the category of second-generation antihistamines. It works by selectively blocking peripheral H1 receptors in your child's body, which helps prevent the release of histamine, a substance that causes allergy symptoms. By doing so, levocetirizine reduces inflammation and other allergic symptoms.

• Store Montecip LC Junior Syrup at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
