Monticope Tablet 10

Monticope Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Chronic idiopathic urticaria, a type of skin allergy causing hives

• Allergic rhinitis, a condition causing sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes due to allergies

• Hay fever, a seasonal allergy causing similar symptoms as allergic rhinitis

Here's how you should take Monticope Tablet:

• Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Make sure to take the medicine at the same time each evening for the best results.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions on how long to use this medicine.

Monticope Tablet is taken orally.

Monticope Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (5 mg): This is a type of antihistamine that blocks histamine H1 receptors. Histamine is a chemical that your immune system releases during an allergic reaction. It can cause inflammation, itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. By blocking its action, levocetirizine helps prevent these symptoms.

• Montelukast (10 mg): This component is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Leukotrienes are chemicals that cause inflammation and increased mucus production during an allergic response. Montelukast works by blocking these receptors, which helps reduce inflammation in your nose, airways, and skin.

By working together in this way, levocetirizine and montelukast provide comprehensive relief from various allergy symptoms.

• Keep it away from direct heat and light.

• Do not allow it to get damp or wet.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're taking Monticope Tablet for allergic rhinitis or hay fever, try to avoid exposure to allergens such as dust, pollen, or pet dander. Regularly clean your home and use air purifiers if possible.

• Incorporate foods rich in vitamin C in your diet, like citrus fruits and bell peppers. Vitamin C is a natural antihistamine which may help reduce allergy symptoms.
