• Moxifloxacin (0.5 %): This antibiotic belongs to a group of medicines known as fluoroquinolones. It works by inhibiting enzymes called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV in bacteria. These enzymes are essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By blocking these enzymes, moxifloxacin prevents the multiplication and growth of bacteria.

• Prednisolone (1 %): This corticosteroid helps to reduce inflammation in your eyes by blocking the production of inflammatory substances like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It does this by promoting the synthesis of a protein called lipocortin, which inhibits phospholipase A2, an enzyme that triggers inflammation.
