Composition
Mucaine Gel is used to relieve acidity, heartburn, indigestion and the discomfort of gastritis, peptic ulcers and hiatus hernia. It is also used for pregnancy-related heartburn when advised by a doctor.
It combines aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, antacids that neutralise excess stomach acid, with oxetacaine, a local anaesthetic that helps relieve pain and discomfort.
Shake the bottle well and take it as directed, generally after meals and at bedtime. Use it only for the duration advised.
Tell your doctor about any existing conditions or other medicines, particularly other antacids. Contact your doctor if symptoms persist, or if you notice persistent stomach pain or black stools.
