Composition
Mucaine Gel is used to relieve acidity, heartburn, indigestion and the discomfort of stomach ulcers. It works by neutralising excess stomach acid and forming a protective layer over the stomach lining.
This gel belongs to the antacid group of medicines. Take it exactly as directed by your doctor, generally after meals and at bedtime, shaking the bottle well before use. Continue using it only for the duration advised, as long-term use without medical supervision is not recommended.
Eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic foods can help reduce acidity and heartburn alongside this gel. Avoiding lying down immediately after eating may also ease symptoms of reflux.
Before using this gel, tell your doctor about any existing health conditions or other medicines you are taking, particularly other antacids, as they can affect how this gel works. Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if you notice persistent stomach pain or black stools.
