Mycoderm-C Dusting Powder is used for managing the following conditions:

• Skin infection caused by Trichophyton fungus or Tinea pedis (commonly known as athlete's foot)

• Fungal skin infection in the groin area, also known as Tinea cruris (or jock itch)

• Ringworm of the body, also called Tinea corporis

• Cutaneous candidiasis, a yeast infection of the skin

• Pityriasis versicolor, a fungal infection that causes discoloured patches on the skin

To use Mycoderm-C Dusting Powder correctly, follow these instructions:

• First, clean and dry the affected area of your skin thoroughly.

• Sprinkle the dusting powder liberally onto your skin, making sure to cover both the infected area and a small margin of healthy surrounding skin.

• Gently rub the powder into your skin until it's spread evenly.

• Always wash your hands after applying the powder to avoid spreading the infection.

Mycoderm-C Dusting Powder is applied topically.

Mycoderm-C Dusting Powder contains clotrimazole (1%) as its active ingredient and works on your skin in the following ways:

• Alters fungal cell membrane permeability: Clotrimazole changes the permeability, or "leakiness", of the fungal cell membrane. This means substances that should stay inside the fungal cell leak out, disrupting normal cell function.

• Inhibits ergosterol synthesis: Clotrimazole blocks the production of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. Without enough ergosterol, the cell membrane becomes unstable and unable to perform its usual functions, including multiplication.

This dual action makes clotrimazole effective against a variety of fungi causing skin infections.

• Store Mycoderm-C Dusting Powder in a cool, dry place at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure the container is tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination.
