Nailrox Cream 50gm

Nailrox Cream is used for managing the following conditions:

• Athlete's foot, also known as Tinea pedis

• Jock itch, medically termed as Tinea cruris

• Ringworm of the body, or Tinea corporis

• Yeast infection of the skin, commonly known as Cutaneous candidiasis

• Pityriasis versicolor, a skin condition that causes small, scaly patches

Use Nailrox Cream as directed below:

• Ensure your hands and the affected skin area are clean before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream on the affected area.

• Gently massage the cream until it is absorbed into the skin.

• Wash your hands after applying unless they are the treatment site.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice regarding its use.

Nailrox Cream is applied topically.

Nailrox Cream contains Ciclopirox (1%) which works in your body as follows:

• Chelates Trivalent Cations: Ciclopirox functions by chelating trivalent cations (Fe3+ and Al3+). These cations are important cofactors for enzymes involved in synthesising the fungal cell membrane and cell division. By doing this, ciclopirox disrupts fungal metabolism and inhibits growth.

• Inhibits Metal-dependent Enzymes: Ciclopirox also inhibits metal-dependent enzymes such as catalase and peroxidase within fungal cells. This leads to an accumulation of toxic peroxide within these cells, causing damage and eventually leading to their death.

• Penetration into Stratum Corneum: The cream formulation of Nailrox Cream allows ciclopirox to penetrate into the stratum corneum, or outer layer of your skin, to effectively reach and act on the fungi causing the infection.

• Always store Nailrox Cream below 25°C in a cool, dry area.

• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use to avoid exposure to air and moisture.

• Make sure it is out of sight and reach of children.

• Since Nailrox Cream manages various skin fungal infections, maintaining good personal hygiene is crucial. Regularly clean your skin, especially the infected areas, to prevent further spread of the fungus.

• To help manage conditions like athlete's foot or jock itch, try to keep your skin dry as much as possible. Wearing breathable clothing and changing your socks regularly can assist in this.
