Nervijen P capsule is a medication commonly prescribed for treating neuropathic pain, such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain following shingles), and other types of chronic pain.
Diabetic neuropathy is a nerve disorder that occurs as a complication of diabetes. It is characterised by nerve damage, often resulting in pain, numbness or tingling sensation. Postherpetic neuralgia is a type of nerve pain following an outbreak of shingles. It can be a persistent and debilitating condition.
This tablet can also treat regional pain syndrome (CRPS). It is a chronic pain that typically affects an arm or leg after an injury or trauma. It is characterised by intense pain, swelling, and skin colour or temperature changes.
The composition of Nervijen P capsule includes a combination of active ingredients, including: benfotiamine (7.5mg), folic acid (0.75mg), methylcobalamin (750mcg), pregabalin (75mg), and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) (1.5mg).
Nervijen P capsule is generally safe when prescribed by a doctor. However, patients with pre-existing kidney disease and angioedema should cautiously take this medication. Individuals with a history of drug dependence should not take this medication without a doctor's prescription.
