Neukine Injection is used to treat patients undergoing chemotherapy for non-myeloid cancers, helping prevent infections. It works by stimulating the bone marrow to produce white blood cells, which protect against infections. The doctor will adjust the dosage based on the patient's condition, age, and weight.
In addition to this primary use, this injection can also be used to speed up neutrophil recovery and reduce the duration of fever in patients receiving chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). It is also used in cases of bone marrow transplantation, congenital, cyclic, or idiopathic neutropenia, and for those exposed to myelosuppressive doses of radiation.
