Composition

Methylcobalamin (1.5 Mg) + Nortriptyline (10 Mg) + Pregabalin (75 Mg)

Nortipan M Tablet is a prescription medicine for neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a type of nerve damage that affects people with diabetes. It is characterised by numbness, tingling, or burning sensations in the feet or legs. It also causes sharp, shooting pain or cramping in the legs or feet, especially at night.

On the other hand, postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a type of nerve pain that occurs after shingles. Shingles are a viral infection that causes a painful rash, and PHN is a complication that can develop after the rash has healed. The main symptom of PHN includes burning, stabbing, or shooting pain that may be continuous or intermittent.

Nortipan M Tablet composition includes three active ingredients: Pregabalin (75mg), Nortriptyline (10mg) and Methylcobalamin (1500mcg).

Relieving pain associated with diabetic peripheral: Nortipan M Tablet relieves pain, numbness, tingling, or burning sensations in the feet or legs in people with diabetes.
Relieving pain associated with postherpetic neuralgia: Nortipan M Tablet also improves your functioning by suppressing postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), the chronic pain after shingles.

Directions for Use of Nortipan M Tablet 10

Swallow the Nortipan M Tabletwhole with a glass of water or milk.
Do not crush or chew the Nortipan M Tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
Take the Nortipan M Tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.
Do not change your Nortipan M Tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Nortipan M Tablet is taken orally.

Nortipan M Tablet are usually safe when prescribed by a doctor. However, it can cause some side effects. The common Nortipan M Tablet side effect includes.

Headache
Constipation
Dry mouth
Dizziness
Fatigue
Diarrhoea

Managing the Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Nortipan M Tablet . However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Pregabalin, an active ingredient in Nortipan M Tablet is an anticonvulsant and analgesic medication used to treat neuropathic pain, seizures, and anxiety disorders. Pregabalin binds to specific receptors in the brain and nervous system, reducing the release of certain neurotransmitters involved in pain signalling. It helps to relieve pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia.
Nortriptyline, another active ingredient in Nortipan M Tablet, is a tricyclic antidepressant medication for treating depression, anxiety disorders, and neuropathic pain. Nortriptyline works by blocking the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and norepinephrine, which helps increase their brain levels. It helps to regulate mood and relieve pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia.
Methylcobalamin, another active ingredient in Nortipan M Tablet Methylcobalamin, is a form of vitamin B12 involved in forming and maintaining healthy nerve cells. It helps to improve nerve conduction and reduce nerve damage, which can help to relieve pain associated with peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia.

Pregnancy

Nortipan M Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy due to the risk of foetal harm. Do not take Nortipan M Tablet during pregnancy until prescribed by a doctor.

Breastfeeding

Nortipan M Tablet may pass into the breast milk. The safety of Nortipan M Tablet during breastfeeding has not been established. Consult your doctor if you are concerned about taking a Nortipan M Tablet during breastfeeding.

Alcohol

It is not recommended to consume alcohol while taking Nortipan M Tablet. Alcohol can add to dizziness due to the Nortipan M Tablet.

Liver

Using Machines & Driving

You may experience dizziness after taking Nortipan M Tablet. Avoid doing any attentive task if you experience dizziness after taking Nortipan M Tablet.

Allergy

Allergic reactions to Nortipan M Tablet are rare. But, if you are allergic to Nortipan M Tablet ingredients, you should not take it. To avoid allergic reactions, read the label and check the ingredients. The allergic reaction to Nortipan M Tablet includes skin redness, blisters, hives, rash, dyspnea, and wheezing.

Children

Older Patients

Daily Dose

The recommended daily dose of Nortipan M Tablet is one tablet taken once a day, with or without food. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Over Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Nortipan M Tablet by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include reduced consciousness, depression, anxiety, a confusional state, agitation, and restlessness. Some may experience seizures and heart block.

Missed Dose

You may take the missed dose of Nortipan M Tablet as soon as you remember, but if it's almost time for the next dose, skip it and continue with your regular dosing schedule; do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
Protect it from light and moisture.
Keep Nortipan M Tablet away from children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

Obesity can worsen neuropathic pain, so maintain a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise.
Eat a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to reduce inflammation and improve nerve function. Avoid processed foods, sugary snacks, and excessive caffeine and alcohol, which can worsen neuropathic pain.
Exercise regularly to improve circulation and reduce inflammation, which may help reduce neuropathic pain. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise, such as walking or cycling, most days of the week.
Seek the help of a physiotherapist that may help improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion and reduce neuropathic pain.
Stress can worsen neuropathic pain, so manage stress through relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga.
Wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes with good support to reduce foot pain and prevent injuries.

Do not stop taking Nortipan M Tablet without talking to your doctor, even if you experience side effects such as unusual changes in behaviour or mood. If you suddenly stop taking Nortipan M Tablet you may experience withdrawal symptoms, including trouble falling asleep, nausea, diarrhoea, headaches, or seizures.
Consult your doctor if you experience hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle twitching, or loss of coordination after taking Nortipan M Tablet.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures and psychiatric disorders.
Take Nortipan M Tablet only when prescribed by your doctor.
