Nosikind 0.1% Nasal Solution 10ml

Nosikind 0.1% Nasal Solution (10ml) is used for managing nasal congestion. The nasal spray is formulated to provide quick and effective relief from colds, allergies, sinusitis, or respiratory infections. It contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1%, which works by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and mucus production, and making breathing easier. This nasal solution offers fast-acting relief, helping to clear stuffy noses and promote better airflow. It is ideal for use in conditions like blocked sinuses, hay fever, and nasal irritation. However, it should be used for short-term relief only (not more than 3 days continuously) to avoid rebound congestion.

• Xylometazoline Hydrochloride: Xylometazoline hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant commonly used to relieve nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, or sinusitis. It works by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and allowing for easier breathing. As a sympathomimetic agent, it primarily acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa, leading to rapid relief from congestion. However, prolonged or excessive use can cause rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa), making it essential to use the medication as directed.
   
• Benzalkonium Chloride Solution: Benzalkonium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound widely used as a preservative and antimicrobial agent in pharmaceutical formulations, including nasal sprays and eye drops. It helps manage bacterial contamination and extends the shelf life of the product. While effective in maintaining sterility, prolonged exposure to benzalkonium chloride in nasal products may cause irritation or sensitivity in some individuals. Therefore, its concentration is carefully controlled in medical formulations to balance efficacy and safety.

• Spray: For adults and children over 6 years of age, 1-2 applications from the nebuliser spray into each nostril 2 to 4 times a day or as directed by the physician.
   
• Drops: For adults and children over 6 years of age, 2-4 drops of the solution into each nostril 3 to 4 times a day or as directed by the physician.
