Optibex Tear Drops 10ml

Optibex Tear Drops are used for the following:

• Providing relief from dryness of eyes

• Managing irritation due to prolonged visual tasks like reading or computer use

• Reducing discomfort caused by environmental factors such as wind, sun, air pollution, air conditioning, or heating

• Alleviating ocular irritation following surgical procedures like LASIK or cataract surgery

• Assisting in managing discomfort and dryness related to contact lens wear

To use Optibex Tear Drops, follow these steps:

• Ensure your hands are clean before use.

• Tilt your head back and look upwards.

• Pull down your lower eyelid gently to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye without touching it or the surrounding area.

• Squeeze the dropper gently to release 1 or 2 drops into the eye. Close your eye slowly and press a finger into the inner corner of your eye.

• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops. Wait at least 15 minutes after using the drops before reinserting your lenses.

• Replace the dropper cap tightly after use.

Optibex Tear Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Carboxymethyl Cellulose (0.5%): This ingredient acts as a viscosity enhancer which, when applied in the eye, sticks to the eye's surface, retaining water to keep the eye hydrated. It mimics the mucous layer of the tear film, thus increasing tear viscosity and volume. This stabilises the tear film, prolongs corneal wetting time, and minimises further irritation of the eye surface.

• Oxychloro Complex (0.005%): While its exact function isn't clearly stated, most "oxychloro-" structured compounds have antimicrobial properties. Thus, it's likely that the oxychloro complex helps maintain the sterility of Optibex Tear Drops in the multi-dose container.

• Store Optibex Tear Drops at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
