Orthosenz ointment is intended for external use only. Use it according to your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration. Before using, read the directions on the label. Clean and dry the afflicted region before applying the ointment and carefully massaging it in.

Orthosenz Ointment contains Capsaicin Based Rubefacients, Diclofenac, Gabapentin, and Methyl Salicylate. Capsaicin-based rubefacients are plant derivatives that activate specific receptors in the pain neurons to cause long-term desensitization. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAIDs) include diclofenac (NSAIDs). It acts by preventing the release of pain and inflammation-causing chemical messengers (redness and swelling). Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand that reduces pain by altering nerve cell calcium channel function. Topical analgesics such as Methyl Salicylate are utilized (pain reliever). It works by chilling and then reheating the skin. This cooling and warming activity disrupts the passage of pain signals across nerves. They relieve neuropathic pain when used together (pain from damaged nerves).
