Oxalgin TH Gel is used for managing:

• Sprains, strains and sports injuries causing muscle pain and spasms

• Localised forms of soft tissue rheumatism, including tendinitis and bursitis

• Shoulder or hip periarthritis, a form of soft tissue rheumatism

• Osteoarthritis affecting superficial joints like the knee, hand and foot

• Lower back pain, also known as lumbago.

Here's how you should use Oxalgin TH Gel:

• Apply a small amount of gel (2 to 4g) to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily.

• Gently massage it into the skin until it is fully absorbed.

• Do ensure you wash your hands after applying unless they are the treated area.

• Avoid applying heat or occlusive dressings over the applied area.

• Consult your doctor if symptoms persist after 7 days of use.

Oxalgin TH Gel is applied topically.

Oxalgin TH Gel contains multiple active ingredients that work together to provide relief from pain and inflammation:

• Diclofenac diethylamine (1.16%): This ingredient is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation.

• Thiocolchicoside (0.125%): A muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system to relieve painful muscle spasms.

• Linseed oil (3%): Linseed oil has anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an emollient that softens and soothes the skin.

• Methyl salicylate (10%): Methyl salicylate is another counterirritant that produces a warming sensation. It also has mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

• Menthol (5%): As a counterirritant, menthol creates a cooling sensation on the skin that distracts from deeper aching pain.

• Benzyl Alcohol (1%): This component acts as a preservative and has local anaesthetic properties, providing additional pain relief.

• Keep Oxalgin TH Gel below 30°C in a dry location.

• Shield it from direct sunlight and heat.

• Be sure to keep it out of reach of children.

• Once you've opened the tube for the first time, discard any unused gel after three months.

• Incorporate regular gentle exercises into your routine. Movement can help to manage muscle pain and inflammation associated with conditions like osteoarthritis and soft tissue rheumatism.

• Adopt an anti-inflammatory diet. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts, can support the reduction of inflammation in your body.
