Oxcarb-300 Tablet is beneficial for the following:

Oxcarb-300 Tablet contains oxcarbazepine (300 mg) which works in the body as follows:

• Stabilises Hyperexcited Nerve Membranes: Oxcarbazepine helps to stabilise hyperexcited nerve membranes in the brain. These are nerves that are overly sensitive and send too many signals at once.

• Inhibits Repetitive Neuronal Firing: This medicine works by inhibiting the repetitive firing of these neurons. This means it stops them from sending too many signals at once.

• Reduction of Seizure Impulses: By blocking certain channels in the brain that allow sodium to pass through, oxcarbazepine reduces the spread of seizure impulses. This leads to a decrease in the abnormal electrical activity that causes seizures.
