Oxyspas 2.5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB)

• Controlling urinary urgency

• Reducing urinary frequency

• Decreasing urge incontinence

• Improving bladder control

• Relaxing bladder muscles

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.

• Take Oxyspas 2.5 Tablet at the same times each day for best results.

• It's important to continue taking your medicine regularly. If you need to stop taking Oxyspas 2.5 Tablet, consult your doctor first. They will guide you on how to safely stop using this medicine.

Oxyspas 2.5 Tablet contains Oxybutynin (2.5mg), which functions in the body as follows:

• Relaxation of the Detrusor Muscle: Oxybutynin relaxes the detrusor muscle in the bladder wall. This muscle is responsible for the contraction and relaxation that controls urine storage and release. By relaxing this muscle, the medicine helps improve bladder control.

• Blocking Acetylcholine: Oxybutynin acts on the muscarinic receptors in the body. These receptors interact with acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for bladder muscle contractions. By blocking these receptors, Oxybutynin prevents acetylcholine from triggering unwanted contractions, thereby reducing urinary urgency and incontinence.

• Increasing Bladder Capacity: The antispasmodic effect of Oxybutynin increases bladder capacity, further aiding in the management of OAB symptoms. This action delays the initial urge to urinate, providing comfort and convenience for you.
