Pantop D Sr Capsule 15

Pantop-D SR Capsule is used for:

• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach, causing irritation

• Helping with peptic ulcers, painful sores in the lining of your stomach or the upper part of your small intestine

• Controlling Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition in which one or more tumours form in your pancreas or the upper part of your small intestine, leading to too much acid production

• Reducing nausea and vomiting associated with the above conditions.

Use Pantop-D SR Capsule as follows:

• Take this medicine orally once a day.

• Ensure you consume it at least 1 hour before your meal.

• It is important to swallow the capsule whole along with a glass of water. Avoid crushing, chewing, or opening it, as this could affect its sustained-release properties.

• Follow your doctor's recommended duration for taking Pantop-D SR Capsule.

• If you have difficulty swallowing, you may carefully open the capsule and sprinkle its contents on a spoonful of applesauce. Swallow without chewing.

Pantop-D SR Capsule is taken orally.

Pantop-D SR Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): A dopamine antagonist with anti-emetic properties, domperidone works on a part of your brain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) to alleviate nausea and vomiting. Additionally, it boosts the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract and increases lower esophageal sphincter pressure, thus reducing reflux.

• Pantoprazole (40 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, pantoprazole suppresses stomach acid secretion. It inhibits an enzyme system in your stomach lining cells, known as H+/K+-ATPase, responsible for acid production. This leads to a potent and long-lasting reduction of stomach acid.

The sustained-release formulation of Pantop-D SR Capsule allows these capsules to be released slowly over several hours, enabling extended control over acid production and symptom relief throughout the day with just one daily dose.

• Store your Pantop-D SR Capsule at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it protected from direct sunlight and away from moisture.

• Always keep the capsule out of reach of children for safety.

• Make sure to use this medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the label.

• Since Pantop-D SR Capsule is prescribed for managing conditions like GERD and peptic ulcers, try to limit your intake of spicy, fatty, and acidic foods. These can aggravate stomach irritation and may prolong recovery.

• Regular exercise can aid digestion and reduce symptoms related to excessive stomach acid. Try to include a gentle workout routine in your daily schedule, but always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise regime.
