Phensedyl CR Syrup contains a combination of active ingredients that work together to manage cough and associated symptoms:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg/5 ml): A non-sedating antihistamine, levocetirizine provides relief from allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and itching. It works by blocking histamine, a substance released by the body during an allergic reaction.

• Ambroxol (15 mg/5 ml): As a mucolytic agent, ambroxol breaks down mucus and aids in its removal from the respiratory tract. It increases the production of surfactant in the lungs, which reduces mucus viscosity, making it easier to cough out.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg/5 ml): This expectorant helps to loosen thick mucus in the airways, facilitating easier expulsion through coughing. It increases the volume and decreases the thickness of respiratory tract secretions.

• Menthol (1 mg/5 ml): Menthol provides a cooling and soothing effect on the throat and respiratory tract, relieving minor throat irritation and cough by giving a local anaesthetic effect.
