Piptaz 4.5g Injection is used in the following conditions:
- Intra-abdominal bacterial infections: This injection is employed to treat infections within the abdominal cavity caused by a range of susceptible bacteria, helping to reduce infection and promote recovery.
- Skin and skin structure bacterial infections: This injection also addresses bacterial infections of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and soft tissue.
- Female pelvic infections: This injection also helps treat female pelvic infections in adults, also known as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). It is a bacterial infection that affects the female reproductive organs, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.
- Community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia: This injection is also employed to relieve respiratory symptoms due to community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia.

Piptaz 4.5g Injection contains the following components:
- Piperacillin (4000 mg): It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits the formation of bacterial cell walls. It interferes with the enzymes responsible for building the bacterial cell wall, weakening and eventually rupturing it.
- Tazobactam (500 mg): It is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by inhibiting the enzymes produced by bacteria that can break down certain types of antibiotics, such as penicillins and cephalosporins. By inhibiting these enzymes, tazobactam helps piperacillin to be more effective against bacteria that may produce beta-lactamase enzymes and are resistant to other types of antibiotics.

Alcohol

Kidney

- Muscle relaxants such as vecuronium. This injection can potentially extend the effects of vecuronium.
