Preva Gold 10 Capsule is used for the following:

• Reducing the risk of death and nonfatal stroke in people who have had an ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack, which are conditions where blood supply to parts of the brain is temporarily disrupted.

• Lowering the risk of death and nonfatal heart attack in people with a history of heart attack or unstable angina, a condition that causes chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart.

• Decreasing the combined risk of heart attack and sudden death in those with stable angina, which is chest pain that occurs when your heart doesn't get enough blood.

• Providing secondary prevention in patients who have undergone revascularization procedures, such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) or percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), especially if they already have a condition requiring aspirin.

• Lowering the likelihood of developing aspirin-associated gastric ulcers in patients at risk due to age or a history of gastric ulcers.

Preva Gold 10 Capsule contains three active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This antiplatelet agent works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1). This leads to a reduction in thromboxane A2 production, which helps prevent platelets from sticking together or aggregating.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Another antiplatelet component, clopidogrel binds irreversibly to the P2Y12 ADP receptor found on platelets. This prevents platelet activation and aggregation, helping to stop blood clots from forming.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): As a type of statin, rosuvastatin competitively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a crucial role in cholesterol production within your body.
