Quard Cream 15gm

Quard Cream is used for managing the following conditions:

• Bacterial skin infections such as impetigo and folliculitis, where red, swollen, and painful sores appear on your skin.

• Fungal skin infections like athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm

• Make sure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as directed by your doctor.

• Gently rub the cream into your skin until it's fully absorbed.

• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly to avoid spreading the infection to other body parts.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

Quard Cream is applied topically.

Quard Cream works on the skin in the following ways:

• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): This potent corticosteroid reduces inflammation and associated symptoms like redness, swelling, and itching.

• Neomycin sulphate (0.5%): It is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and spread of bacteria.

• Miconazole nitrate (2%): Acting as an antifungal agent, miconazole nitrate alters fungal cell membrane permeability leading to loss of essential cellular components. This action helps manage fungal skin infections.

• Chlorhexidine gluconate (0.2%): This antiseptic disrupts bacterial cell membranes. The disruption leads to a reduction in the bacteria causing the skin infection.

• Store Quard Cream at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the tube tightly closed, away from direct light and heat.

• Ensure that the cream is stored out of reach of children for their safety.

• Always use the cream before its expiry date.

• Always maintain good personal hygiene to prevent skin infection. Wash your hands regularly and avoid sharing towels or clothing with others.

• A diet rich in vitamin C can aid skin health. Include plenty of citrus fruits, strawberries, bell peppers, and spinach in your meals.
