The tablet is also used to manage hepatic encephalopathy (HE). It is a condition caused by liver dysfunction, leading to the buildup of toxins in the brain. The symptoms of HE include confusion, cognitive impairment, and personality changes.
Rcifax 400 also treats irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with diarrhoea in adults. It is a gastrointestinal disorder characterised by watery stools, the urgency to have bowel movements, abdominal cramping, bloating, and gas.
The composition of Rcifax 400 Tablet includes Rifaximin 400 mg as the active ingredient. It is effective against Escherichia coli (E.Coli) and many other gut pathogens. It is not used for respiratory or urinary tract infections.
