Revici Injection is used for the following:

• Handling postpartum haemorrhage, excessive bleeding after childbirth

• Aiding blood clotting in bleeding disorders like haemophilia

Administer Revici Injection as follows:

• This medicine should be administered by a doctor or nurse only.

• It is given either into a vein (intravenous) or into a muscle (intramuscular).

• Never attempt to self-administer this medicine.

Revici Injection is administered intravenously or intramuscularly by a healthcare professional.

Revici Injection contains three active ingredients:

• n-Butyl alcohol (52 mg): Commonly known as butanol, it likely acts as a solvent or preservative in this injection. When administered intravenously, butanol has mild anaesthetic and sedative properties.

• Citric Acid (0.5 mg): This weak organic acid is used in pharmaceuticals as a pH-adjusting agent, acidifying agent, and antioxidant. It helps maintain the solution's pH balance and enhances the stability of other components in this injection.

• Sodium Chloride (5.6 mg): It maintains fluid balance and supports nerve and muscle function. Its function is to make the solution isotonic with blood to prevent red blood cell lysis or shrinkage.

Together these ingredients help strengthen blood vessel walls to reduce their permeability and leakage while enhancing platelet aggregation to form clots that seal off damaged vessels, effectively managing excessive bleeding.
