Rioci 1 Tablet 10

Rioci 1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): This condition results from narrowed blood vessels in your lungs, which puts extra strain on your heart.

• Addressing Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH): This disease occurs when blood clots block your lung's blood vessels. It's used when surgery isn't an option or when the condition persists or recurs post-surgery.

Here's how you should take Rioci 1 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Always stick to the dose recommended by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first, even if you start feeling better.

Rioci 1 Tablet is taken orally.

Rioci 1 Tablet contains riociguat (1 mg) and functions in the following ways:

• Soluble Guanylate Cyclase Stimulation: Riociguat stimulates an enzyme known as soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC). This enzyme plays a crucial role in widening and relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs.

• Increase in cGMP Levels: By stimulating sGC, riociguat increases the levels of a substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the body. Higher levels of cGMP lead to an expansion of the blood vessels in the lungs.

• Reduction in Pulmonary Blood Pressure: The relaxation and widening of the pulmonary blood vessels lower the pressure within these vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart, improving symptoms and exercise capacity in patients with PAH and CTEPH.

• Store Rioci 1 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Protect the product from exposure to excessive light and moisture.

• Always keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use Rioci 1 Tablet before its expiration date.

• To help manage Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), try to incorporate low-sodium foods into your diet. This can help reduce pressure on your heart and lungs.

• Engage in light physical activities, like walking or stretching regularly, as it can help improve your exercise capacity. However, do not push yourself too hard without consulting your doctor.
