• Antifungals: Medicines like ketoconazole can increase exposure to tolterodine. The dose needs to be reduced when these medicines are taken together.

• Antidepressants: Medicines like fluoxetine, paroxetine, and quinidine can also increase exposure to tolterodine, especially in poor metabolizers. The dose needs to be adjusted when used concomitantly.

• Urinary Retention: Those suffering from clinically significant bladder outflow obstruction should exercise caution due to the risk of urinary retention.

• Gastrointestinal Disorders: Caution is needed for patients with obstructive disorders, decreased gastrointestinal motility or ulcerative colitis, as this medicine can worsen their condition.

• Controlled Narrow-Angle Glaucoma: Care should be exercised due to the risk of a precipitating acute attack.

• Myasthenia Gravis: Symptoms may potentially worsen in those suffering from this neuro-muscular disorder.
