Rosumac ASP Capsule is used in adults with coronary artery disease to lower cholesterol, prevent blood clots, and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

Uses of Rosumac ASP Capsule are:

• Heart Attack Prevention: Reduces the risk of heart attacks in adults with established coronary artery disease or following stent placement.
• Stroke Risk Reduction: Helps lower the chance of stroke in people with coronary artery disease and cardiovascular risk factors.
• High Cholesterol Management: Lowers harmful LDL cholesterol and may lower triglycerides while increasing HDL cholesterol.

Rosumac ASP Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This component works by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase1 (COX 1) in your body. This blocks the production of thromboxane A2, which is involved in blood clotting or platelet aggregation, providing antiplatelet activity. Additionally, it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis that helps manage pain, inflammation and fever.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This element competitively blocks HMG CoA reductase, an enzyme that plays a pivotal role in cholesterol production inside your body. It also increases the LDL receptors on liver cells' surface enhancing LDL uptake and breakdown. This results in a reduction of total cholesterol, LDL C (bad cholesterol), ApoB (a protein linked to bad cholesterol), non HDL C and triglycerides, while increasing HDL C (good cholesterol).

• Store the Rosumac ASP Capsule in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.
