Rosumac ASP Capsule is used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults with coronary artery disease or those who have recently had a stent placed. It combines a cholesterol-lowering medicine with an antiplatelet agent to protect the heart and blood vessels.
It contains rosuvastatin combined with aspirin. Take it as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it as prescribed, even when you feel well, as stopping suddenly may increase your cardiovascular risk.
Follow a low-saturated-fat, low-cholesterol diet to support the cholesterol-lowering action of this medicine. Limit alcohol intake, as it can increase the risk of bleeding and worsen cholesterol levels.
Tell your doctor before starting if you have liver or kidney problems, a bleeding disorder, a history of stomach ulcers, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report any unexplained muscle pain, unusual bleeding, or severe stomach pain to your doctor right away.
