Rosumac CV 20 Capsule is used for the prevention of heart attack, stroke, and vascular death in individuals with a history of heart conditions or recent stroke, managing high lipid and cholesterol levels, and reducing the risk of blood clot formation, particularly for those with peripheral arterial disease.

Here's how to take Rosumac CV 20 Capsule:

• The capsule should be swallowed whole with water.
• Do not chew, crush or open the capsule.
• Avoid stopping or changing your dose without first consulting with your doctor.

Rosumac CV 20 Capsule is taken orally.

Rosumac CV 20 Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to manage heart health:

• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): This statin reduces LDL or "bad" cholesterol in the body. It competitively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in the body. This action increases the number of LDL receptors on hepatocyte membranes, enhancing the uptake and catabolism of LDL cholesterol and thus lowering blood LDL cholesterol levels.
• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This component prevents the formation of blood clots. It works by irreversibly inhibiting the P2Y12 component of ADP receptors on platelet membranes. This action reduces the activation of the GPIIb/IIIa complex, which in turn, reduces platelet aggregation and the formation of blood clots.
