Rosycap ASP 10/75 Capsule is used to lower cholesterol and prevent blood clots in adults with heart or blood vessel disease, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is a combination medicine containing rosuvastatin 10mg, a statin, and aspirin 75mg, an antiplatelet.
Rosuvastatin lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and helps stabilise fatty deposits in the arteries, while low-dose aspirin stops blood cells called platelets from sticking together. Swallow the capsule whole with water after a meal, once a day, and keep taking it even when you feel well. Do not stop it without medical advice.
A heart-healthy diet, regular exercise, keeping a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and not smoking support your heart and arteries.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a stomach ulcer or bleeding, a bleeding disorder, asthma triggered by aspirin, liver or kidney disease, muscle problems or gout, and about other medicines you take, especially blood thinners and painkillers. Do not take it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and it is not for children under 16. Tell your doctor or dentist that you take it before surgery or dental work. Report black stools, vomiting of blood or unusual bruising. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine, straight away. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
