Rosycap Gold 20/150 Capsule is used for the following:

• Secondary prevention in patients suffering from acute coronary syndrome.

• Decreasing the risk of heart attack, stroke and vascular death in patients with established peripheral arterial disease.

• Managing high levels of lipids and preventing first or recurrent events related to atherothrombosis in patients with dyslipidemia.

When taking Rosycap Gold 20/150 Capsule, you should follow these steps:

• The capsule must be swallowed whole with a glass of water; do not open, crush or chew.

• Attempt to take the medicine at the same time each day for maximum benefit.

• Continue taking this medicine as long as your doctor advises. Even if you are feeling well, do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

Rosycap Gold 20/150 Capsule is taken orally.

Rosycap Gold 20/150 Capsule contains three active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (20 mg): As a statin, rosuvastatin inhibits the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme that plays a key role in cholesterol synthesis. This action lowers intracellular cholesterol levels, leading to an increase in LDL-C uptake by the liver cells, and hence reducing circulating LDL-C levels in the blood.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Clopidogrel is a medicine that requires activation in the liver to inhibit platelet aggregation. It selectively and irreversibly inhibits the P2Y12 component of ADP receptors on platelets, thereby preventing clot formation through a different pathway than aspirin.

• Aspirin (150 mg): A renowned antiplatelet medicine, aspirin works by irreversibly inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme. This action reduces the production of prostaglandins and thromboxane A2, substances that promote blood clotting and tightening of blood vessels, hence reducing the risk of blood clots.

• Keep your Rosycap Gold 20/150 Capsule in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays between 15-30°C.

• Protect the capsules from moisture; don't remove them from their original packaging until you're ready to take them.

• Store this medicine out of reach and sight of children at all times.
