Sofinox Cream 10gm

Sofinox Cream is used for managing the following conditions:

• Skin infections caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus bacteria

• Impetigo, a skin infection causing red sores and honey-coloured crusts

• Sycosis barbae, an inflammation of hair follicles in the beard area

• Erythrasma, a chronic bacterial infection resulting in brown, scaly patches

• Infected cuts, wounds, and abrasions

• Infected dermatitis and eczema

To use Sofinox Cream properly, follow these steps:

• Initially, clean and dry the affected area of your skin.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream gently to the cleaned skin area.

• This application should be done as advised by your doctor.

• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly, unless they are the area being treated.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse well with water if accidental contact occurs.

Sofinox Cream is applied topically.

Sofinox Cream contains fusidic acid (2%), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Interferes with bacterial protein synthesis: Fusidic acid works by blocking the production of vital proteins within the bacteria. These proteins are essential for bacterial growth and survival.

• Prevents infection spread: By inhibiting protein synthesis, fusidic acid stops the infection from spreading further within your body.

• Supports immune defences: The inhibitory action of fusidic acid helps your body's immune system eliminate bacteria more effectively.

Remember that fusidic acid is only effective against Staphylococcus species and won't work against viral, fungal, or other bacterial pathogens.

• Store Sofinox Cream below 25°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the tube remains tightly closed when not in use.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Always use the cream before its expiration date.

• If you're using this cream to treat skin infections, maintaining proper hygiene is essential. Regularly wash your hands and the infected area using mild soap and water.

• A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals can support your immune system. To help your body combat infections, include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your daily meals.
