Solvin LS Syrup is used for the following:

• Managing productive cough linked to bronchial asthma: This condition involves inflammation and constriction of the airways, which leads to difficulty in breathing.

• Managing productive cough in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD): This is a long-term lung disease that causes shortness of breath and excessive mucus production.

• Easing symptoms associated with acute and chronic bronchitis: These are inflammations of the bronchial tubes, which carry air to your lungs.

• Assisting in the treatment of bronchiectasis: This is a permanent enlargement of parts of the airways in the lungs.

• Addressing productive cough related to pneumonia: This is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs.

Administer Solvin LS Syrup to your child as follows:

• Use a spoon or provided measuring cup to measure the correct dose of syrup.

• Ensure to shake the bottle well before each use.

• Always keep the bottle properly capped after use.

• Remember, this medicine contains sugar. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

Solvin LS Syrup is given orally.

Solvin LS Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together:

• Ambroxol (30 mg): This is a mucolytic agent which breaks down mucus and facilitates its removal from the respiratory tract. It reduces the viscosity of mucus secretions, promoting mucus clearance and enhancing surfactant production, which helps prevent the collapse of alveoli in the lungs.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant that helps thin and loosen mucus in your child's airways, making it easier for them to cough out. It works by increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of respiratory tract secretions.

• Levosalbutamol (1 mg): A bronchodilator that relaxes smooth muscles in the airways by acting as a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. This action increases airflow, making it easier for your child to breathe. Levosalbutamol has a longer duration of action and fewer side effects compared to similar substances.

• Store your Solvin LS Syrup in a cool place, below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of your child's reach.

• Make sure you use it before the expiry date printed on the label.

• If your child suffers from bronchitis or asthma, avoid exposure to smoke or pollutants. These can worsen your child's condition by irritating their lungs and making breathing more difficult.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. This can help thin the mucus in the lungs, making it easier for Solvin LS Syrup to work effectively.
