Soventus Syrup is used for the following:

• Providing relief from cough associated with bronchitis

• Easing symptoms in bronchial asthma

• Assisting in the management of emphysema

• Addressing bronchopulmonary disorders causing bronchospasm, mucous plugging, and expectoration issues

• Helping manage both dry and wet cough

Soventus Syrup can be taken or given as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the correct dose of the syrup with the provided measuring cup.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Remember, this medicine is sugar-based; so if you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this syrup.

• Close the bottle cap tightly after each use.

Soventus Syrup is taken orally.

Soventus Syrup consists of four active ingredients that work together:

• Ambroxol (20 mg): This component acts as a mucolytic agent that thins and loosens mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out. It boosts the production of surfactant which lubricates the airways and reduces mucus viscosity. Additionally, ambroxol has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help combat airway inflammation.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): Guaifenesin serves as an expectorant that aids in loosening and thinning mucus in the airways. It amplifies the volume and diminishes the viscosity of secretions in the respiratory tract. This makes it easier to clear mucus from the lungs through coughing.

• Menthol (0.5 mg): Menthol provides a cooling sensation when inhaled or applied topically. In Soventus Syrup, it relieves throat irritation and soothes sore throat related to coughing. Additionally, menthol has mild analgesic and decongestant properties.

• Terbutaline (1.25 mg): Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the airways, easing breathing. It stimulates beta-2 receptors in the lungs, causing the smooth muscles around the airways to relax. This also results in reduced inflammation in the airways and decreased mucus production.

• Store Soventus Syrup below 30°C in a tightly closed container.

• Keep it shielded from light and moisture.

• Keep the bottle away from children.

• Make sure to use the syrup before the expiry date.

• If you're battling bronchitis or asthma, avoid foods that trigger allergies, such as dairy products, eggs, nuts, seafood, soy, and wheat.
