Stolin Gum Astringent 15ml

Stolin Gum Astringent is used in the treatment of following conditions:

• Vincent's disease: This gum paint can help reduce pain and inflammation in gums due to vincent's disease.
• Gingivitis: This medicine can effectively manage gingivitis by reducing inflammation and inhibiting bacterial growth. 
• Bleeding gums: Bleeding gums often occur due to inflammation, poor oral hygiene, or gum disease. This gum paint can help address bleeding gums by reducing inflammation and promoting healing. 
• Spongy gums: Spongy gums are swollen, soft, and tender gums. This gum paint can provide relief by reducing inflammation and tightening the gum tissues. 
• Pyorrhea: Pyorrhea, or periodontitis, is a severe form of gum disease characterised by infection and inflammation of the tissues surrounding the teeth. This gum paint can assist in managing pyorrhea by controlling bacterial growth, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing. 
• Mouth ulcers: These are painful sores that can occur on the gums or other areas of the mouth. This gum paint relieves the affected area, reduces inflammation, and promotes healing. 

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Dispense the few drops of astringent to the affected area.
• Gently massage with the index finger.
• Avoid rinsing or eating for at least 30 minutes after application.
• Tighten the bottle cap after use.

Stolin Gum Astringent is intended for use on gums. Do not swallow or ingest this medicine. 

Stolin Gum Astringent contains the following components: 

• Cetrimide (0.1% w/v): Cetrimide is an antiseptic agent that helps control and prevent infections. It inhibits the bacterial and microorganisms growth that contribute to the development of vincent's disease, gingivitis, and pyorrhea. By reducing the bacterial load, cetrimide helps alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
• Tannic acid (2% w/v): It is a polyphenol that possesses astringent properties. It helps to constrict blood vessels and reduce inflammation in the gums. It also aids in stopping bleeding and soothes the affected gum tissues.
• Zinc chloride (1% w/v): It is an astringent and antiseptic agent. It helps in controlling bleeding gums and promotes the healing process. It reduces bleeding and provides temporary relief from bleeding gums and mouth ulcers. 

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Stolin Gum Astringent away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Sugary foods and beverages contribute to bacterial growth in the mouth, increasing the risk of gum problems. Limit your consumption of sugary snacks, soft drinks, and juices to reduce the risk of dental issues.
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water helps rinse away food particles, stimulates saliva production, and keeps the mouth hydrated, which is important for oral health.
• Brush at least twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Floss daily to remove plaque and food debris from between your teeth. 
• Consider using an antibacterial mouthwash as recommended by your dentist.
• Smoking and using other tobacco products can significantly increase the risk of gum disease and delay healing. If you smoke, consider quitting, and avoid using any tobacco products.
• Excessive alcohol consumption can lead to dehydration, dry mouth, and increased susceptibility to gum problems. Drink alcohol in moderation, or consider reducing your alcohol intake.
• Regular dental check-ups are crucial for preventing and managing gum problems. Your dentist can identify early signs of dental issues, provide professional cleanings, and offer personalised guidance for your oral health.
