• This injection should be administered by a healthcare professional only.

• Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab.

• Inject the medicine slowly into the vein as directed by your doctor.

Tazar 1.125g Injection contains two active ingredients:

• Piperacillin (1000 mg): This ingredient works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. By disrupting this crucial process, piperacillin effectively weakens and destroys harmful bacteria.

• Tazobactam (125 mg): Tazobactam doesn't kill bacteria directly. Instead, it blocks some of their defence mechanisms, particularly their production of beta-lactamases. These are enzymes that some bacteria produce to resist penicillins like piperacillin. By blocking these enzymes, tazobactam allows piperacillin to work more effectively against resistant bacteria.
