Telekast-L Kid Syrup is primarily used to manage allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma in children aged 2-5 years. This medicine is a blend of two active constituents, falling under the category of antihistamines and leukotriene receptor antagonists.
In addition to its primary use, it also offers symptomatic relief from a runny and stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes and other allergy symptoms. This medicine also acts as a preventative measure against exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB), essentially helping to prevent sudden breathing difficulties during physical activity.
The medicine should be given as directed by your doctor. It's advised that you inform your doctor about your child’s pre-existing conditions or ongoing medications before starting this medicine. If you notice any side effects in your child while they're on this medication, notify your doctor immediately. Ensure you continue giving the syrup for the duration prescribed by your doctor for optimal results.
