Tellzy-MT 50 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of high blood pressure or hypertension

• Reduction of cardiovascular event risks, such as heart attack and stroke, in individuals with hypertension

Here's how you should take Tellzy-MT 50 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of liquid. Do not crush or chew it.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Aim to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels of the medication.

• If you're considering stopping this medication, please consult your doctor first to avoid rebound hypertension and increased risk of cardiovascular events.

Tellzy-MT 50 Tablet is taken orally.

Tellzy-MT 50 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg): This component is a beta-1 selective adrenoceptor blocking agent. It reduces the load on your heart and lowers its need for oxygen. By slowing down your heart rate and decreasing its contractility (the strength of each beat), metoprolol succinate lessens the heart's output of blood, thus helping to lower your blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), telmisartan selectively stops angiotensin II from binding to its receptor in your body. Angiotensin II typically causes blood vessels to constrict and encourages the secretion of aldosterone, a hormone that can increase blood pressure. By blocking these effects, telmisartan promotes the widening of blood vessels (vasodilation), decreases resistance to the flow of blood (peripheral resistance), and ultimately helps to lower your blood pressure.
